Tomorrow Dandy will leave the stables he’s been staying at ever since I got him
W’ve done it all there. Transformed him from fire breathing dragon (stallion) to a well behaved and focused gelding. All that in a little over 10 months. But time has come to bring him closer to home. The change will be major. On the loss side : the huge covered arena with reining oriented footing. The nearby fields, woods and trails. The Western crew. On the gain camp : way more exposure to cars, people, dogs, and just about everything. Real interaction with other horses/ponies/donkeys. An “English” based operation, meaning jumping opportunities. More people to go on the trail with.
Today I drove there in minus temperatures, everything frozen to the core, and worked with him on the ground at length and in depth, to try to insure troublefree loading tomorrow. Make sure to stay tuned !
